Gulnara Batyrkanova, Ph. D., associate Professor, Vice-rector for research, ADAM University, presented a report on “The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy of Kyrgyzstan” at the online conference “Economy after the pandemic: problems and ways of recovery”, organized today by the ADAM University.

Participants of the online conference were representatives of science, education and tourism of such countries as Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.

During the joint work, a wide range of issues were discussed, problems and prospects for the development of countries ‘ economies in the context of the pandemic, as well as the impact of the pandemic on the tourism industry, how the quarantine affected small and medium-sized businesses, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economy of Kyrgyzstan.

We sincerely hope that the experience, vision, and information received at this conference will be useful to all participants in the course of their activities.
