04/26/2019 Adam University held the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Internationalization of Universities: Challenges and Prospects”, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the university in the Hyatt Regency Bishkek.
The conference began with a greeting of our guests from the Office of the President, the Zhogorku Kenesh, the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic G.K Kudaiberdieva,representative of the Ministry of Health, Chairman of the Association of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, rector of the BHU Musayev A.,Regional authorized by the Fund. K. Adenauer on Central Asia T. Kunze, National Coordinator of ERASMUS + G. Chokusheva and Director of the Educational Program of the Soros Foundation-Kyrgyzstan V. Deichman.During the work of the International Scientific and Practical Conference, the impact of internationalization on the policy and practice of higher education was analyzed and possible scenarios for the development of the internationalization of universities in Kyrgyzstan were discussed, taking into account the main world trends.
At the plenary meeting, presentations were made by S. Sirmbard, Rector of Adam University, national expert on higher education reform in the Kyrgyz Republic – “Internationalization as a key factor in innovative development of universities”, P. Dimitrov, Professor at the South-Eastern University Neofit-Rilski (Bulgaria), Dean of the Faculty of Tourism – “Double degree programs: challenges and prospects”, A. Aydaraliev, academician, chairman of the IUK Board of Trustees – “Formation and development of export potential in universities of the Kyrgyz Republic”, M. Gunare, professor, Director of the Tourism Program of the Baltic International Economic Academy (Latvia) – “European approach to the internationalization of higher education”, A.
Doctor of Economics, Professor, Zybkin, International Expert of European Union Projects – “Export of Educational Services to the Russian Federation” line) – “Industry Qualifications Framework and Professional Standards in the Internationalization of Higher Education”. The conference was attended by 215 people, of whom 74 specialists shared their experiences.
After the break, the conference continued in three sections.

After the keynote presentations, panel discussions were held to discuss current issues raised by the speakers. As a result of the conference, a resolution was adopted which reflected the generalized experience of the conference participants on the internationalization of universities.
