July 6, 2016 Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economics, with the assistance of the KR Ministry of education and science, European Commission, projects of ERASMUS+ EurDIQ “European dimension in qualifications for the tourism sector” and “Stimulation and monitoring of reforms in the field of education in KR”, Ecological Movement “BIOM” and Konrad Adenauer Foundation held a round table on the topic “National qualifications system as a key tool for the development of education in the Kyrgyz Republic: strategy development”.

A prerequisite of the innovation economy of the country, which is as the most important goal of the national strategy for sustainable development for the period 2013-2017 is the establishment of a system of continuous updating of knowledge, skills and competencies of employees. Introduction of modern technologies in the economy dictates higher requirements for personal qualification, its responsibility, and readiness to learn new approaches to professional activities. The effectiveness of training for socio-economic development of the country is determined by ensuring that the qualifications of graduates from the needs of the labor market, both in quantitative and qualitative parameters.
