Anne Gry Sturod representative of University College of Southeast Norway held a guest lecture for students of “Management and Tourism” program on March 11, 2016. During the lecture, Anne Gry Sturod introduced the presentation to students, which reflected fundamental aspects of ecotourism, its definition, origin, principles and paradoxes.

Anne Gry Sturod held an active discussion with the assembled students, discussing the issues of damage to the environment brought about by globalization, mass migration and mass tourism.

Social aspects – changing the social structure of the population and reasonably predisposition to mass tourism, eco-tourism concept, the sustainable development of ecotourism and more were also considered.

Ecotourism – travel with responsibility towards the environment in relation to the undisturbed natural areas to explore and enjoy nature and cultural attractions, which promotes the protection of nature, has a “soft” impact on the environment, provides an active socio-economic involvement of local people and they receive benefits from this activity.
