Today, November 13th, 2015, Isabela Leao has conducted a guest lecture for BAFE students. She is an employment and labour specialist in the World Bank in Kyrgyzstan, and specializes in the field of agriculture and global food industry. Topic of the guest lecture is “The level of employment of young people in the value chain in agriculture, including the dairy sector.”

Isabel Leao told about the mission of the World Bank in Kyrgyzstan, its structure and institutions, the scope of her activities in working with countries such as India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Also at the lecture, she spoke about the project related to the productivity of milk production, which will be implemented in Kyrgyzstan, noting the importance of this project, which could introduce innovation in the agricultural sector and increase the number of jobs, improve the quality of local dairy products.

Guest lecture has been conducted in the form of discussion, during which the students were able to ask questions, in particular, about the World Bank projects, fellowships and grants for research projects.
