On October 24, 2015, BAFE students led by acting associate professor of the “Management and Tourism» program M.K. Ryskulova took an active part in the citywide festival “Eco-bashtyk” at the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts named after G. Aytiev. That was already their fourth participation in the festival.

The purpose of the festival was in drawing attention to environmental issues, reduction of urban pollution with plastic waste through increased environmental culture, the revival of the tradition of the use of eco-friendly reusable bags among the citizens, and especially among young people.

First-year students presented their works made in accordance with the terms of the festival of old things.

These were bags with old vinyl records, crochet bag with elements of aluminum caps, bags made of old jeans, of umbrellas etc.

BAFE students showed their work to gathered audience and sang incendiary dance, and then each author has demonstrated his own eco bag.

Many viewers were interested in our original bags. A rigorous jury carefully studied the product of our students, several works have been awarded with prizes.

For the videos contest guys – “managers” have presented their video clips on the problem of garbage in the capital. The jury of the festival expressed their gratitude to the BAFE students as the most active participants.
