17/05/2015 took a tour activity on memorial complex “Ata Beyit.” Tours conducted in the disciplines of «Native history” under the guidance of lecturer, Syrdybaeva TT (“Department of humanities”) and “Information and communication technologies’ Mambetakunov C.E. (“Department of fundamental disciplines”) for students of 2nd course of “Economics”, “Management and Tourism” directions.

Information about the complex

The memorial complex “Ata Beyit” in the village of Chon-Tash, 30 km from Bishkek, was built by the initiative of the first President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev in 2000 уear for memory of the victims of repression in 30s. There was buried 137 Kyrgyz, and 19 of other nationalities were executed without trial and investigation in the days of Stalin’s repressions most of Kyrgyz intelligentsia – chairmans of the SNK Yu.Abdrahmanov and B. Isakeev,  secretary of Kirobkom T.Aitmatov, E.Esenamanov- Commissar of Agriculture, Commissar of Education – K. Tynystanov, and many leaders of the party. Chon -Tash is the only documented set place in Kyrgyzstan of state crimes against its own people. MC “Ata Beyit” , It is a structural unit of the Bishkek city administration. At the part of the memorial complex (total area – 2 hectares) includes: sculpture and the museum, a brick oven roasting- the place where they were initially shot and buried 137 people; memorial monument. The Museum “Ata Beyit” (total area – 400 sq. M), translated from Kyrgyz as “Tomb of the fathers”, submitted a documents and photos of the political development of Kyrgyzstan in 1920 – 30s, materials of the victims Chon Tash `s burial.
