April 24, 2015 Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economics (BAFE) held its traditional annual alumni event in the frame of UNIWORK project “Trengthening Career Centres in Central Asia Higher Education Institutions to empower graduates in obtaining and creating quality employment” . Mr. Abdyrakhman Mavlianov, first rector of BAFE, Professor, Chairman of Higher Education Committee (HAC), Svetlana Sirmbrad, Rector of BAFE, Associate Prof, Vice – Rectors, Head of programs, Teaching staff, Student Government and Alumni attended this event.

We would particularly like to note that the venue for the event, a conference hall of «Damas” hotel, was kindly provided an honorary graduate of BAFE, former Deputy Prime Minister, PhD, Mr. Japarov A.

During the event, BAFE’s graduates had the opportunity to learn about Master and PhD programs offered by the Academy, new tools that can help keeping in touch with their alma mater, employers for job places. It was also nice opportunity to express alumni’s gratitude to teaching staff and communicate with each other.

It was gratifying that the event coincided with the arrival of our finalists, who won prizes at the VI Eurasian Economic Forum in Ekaterinburg. Students after the airport came to the event to share the good news and give letters of gratitude top management and teachers of BAFE from the rector of the Ural State University for the preparation of such a strong team.

During the meeting decision to elect the chairman and board members of the Alumni Association for better functioning.

Movie with photos of students and teachers from different years took into the atmosphere of nostalgia.

A buffet table followed later event, where all participants were able to communicate in an informal atmosphere.
