Seminar “The choice of future profession”

Bishkek academy of Finance and Economics with the assistance of the City Department of Education under the City Hall of Bishkek held a first meeting with high school graduates with recognized experts in the field of economics, management and tourism in order to assist them in choosing a future profession. Meetings are organized in the framework of the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic on the improvement of vocational guidance work with high school students.

Meerim Abykeeva, moderator, head of “Economics” program, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, opened the meeting; she informed the schoolchildren with the main idea of these seminars. Baktygulov Ch.A., the main chief specialistg made a welcoming speech on behalf of the City Department of Education under the City Hall in Bishkek Tumenbaeva E.S, head of educational center of State tax service under Government of Kyrgyz Republic presented the structure of state tax service (STS), about the activity of STS and principles of tax collection.  a video about the activities of the STS was also presented to the schoolchildren at the end of seminar.

Turdumambetova E.D, the chief- specialist of educational center of Ministry of Finance,Associate professor, Doctor of Economcs has talked about activity of Ministry of Finance and conducted a master- class for the schoolchildren on writing modern resume and the secrets of successful career. Ulanbek Mambetakunov, Associate professor and 1st year students of “Economics” direction Lazzat Mirzalimova and Elima Ibraimova organized a math quiz. The main aim of quiz was to make schoolchildren be interested in math, as future economist cannot become a specialist without knowing math. Students showed great interest in this workshop and actively participated in all activities.

Schoolchildren of the schools №11, 1 (from Lebedinovka), №28, №29, №69, №49 and №1,2 and 8 (from Novopavlovka village) took part in this workshop.

According to the results of the seminar and quizzes, the following students won prizes and were rewarded with USB-stick:

1st place – Andrei Misurin – gymnasium №28

2nd place –Madina Ahmetova – school № 11

3rd place –Diana Kojomkulova – school № 11

The rest of the students received gifts from BAFE and company “Coca-Cola Bishkek Bottlers”. We would like to note the entire faculty and students of BAFE, namely the Student Government and ENACTUS team, who actively participated in organizing and conducting the seminar and quizzes.
